The To The Power of X² website provides public information, programme updates, guidance and support relating to the To The Power of X² Programme.

The programme is funded by Services SETA and implemented by African Global Skills Academy (AGSA).

This website is separate from the programme’s application and internship management portals. Applications and programme records are handled through the relevant controlled programme systems.

2. Our approach to privacy

We aim to process personal information responsibly and only where it is needed for a legitimate programme purpose.

Personal information is handled with regard to applicable South African data protection requirements, including the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA).

3. Information collected through this website

Most public pages can be viewed without providing personal information.

If you submit a query through the Support page, the website processes:

• whether you identify as a Graduate / Recruit or Employer
• your email address
• the subject of your query
• the information you provide in your query description

Do not include passwords, banking details or unnecessary sensitive personal information in a support query.

4. Why this information is used

Support-query information is used to:

• route your enquiry to the appropriate programme support team
• understand the issue you are asking about
• enable the relevant team to respond to you

Graduate / Recruit queries are routed to the Graduate / Recruit support team.

Employer queries are routed to the Employer support team.

5. Applications and programme records

The public website does not replace the official application or internship management systems.

Graduate applications are submitted through the approved Graduate application portal.

Employer Expressions of Interest are submitted through the approved Employer application portal.

Personal information submitted through those systems is processed in accordance with the applicable processes and notices for those systems.

6. Programme photographs, videos and stories

Consent to process programme information and consent to use a person’s name, photograph, video, quote or programme story are separate matters.

Where photographs, videos, quotes or programme stories are published, the programme’s approved consent and communications processes apply.

Media/story consent is voluntary and should not be treated as a condition of participation or placement.

Where applicable, consent may be withdrawn through the programme’s approved process.

7. How support queries are handled

Support queries submitted through this website are transmitted to the appropriate programme mailbox.

The website is not intended to operate as a permanent support-query database.

The information may however exist within the receiving programme email system as part of normal correspondence and records management processes.

8. Sharing of information

Personal information submitted through the Support form should only be accessed or shared where reasonably necessary to manage the enquiry, administer the programme, meet legal or contractual obligations, or protect the rights and security of the programme and its participants.

The website does not sell personal information.

Reasonable technical and organisational measures are used to protect the website and information submitted through it.

No internet-based system can guarantee absolute security.

Users should avoid submitting passwords, banking details or unnecessary sensitive information through the Support form.

The website contains links to separate programme systems and may display approved content from external services such as YouTube.

External websites and systems may have their own privacy practices and notices.

11. Cookies and browser storage

This website does not use advertising, analytics or tracking cookies.

The website uses your browser’s local storage (not cookies) to remember your light/dark display preference on this device. This is a display setting only and is not used to identify or track you.

A first-visit introduction feature also uses local storage to remember whether it has been shown, but this feature is currently disabled and has no effect on the live website.

Where applicable under South African law, individuals may request access to or correction of personal information held about them and may raise concerns about how their personal information is processed.
